Yale Stewart’s JL8 Fundraiser Benefits Typhoon Victims – Check It Out!

As you must know by now, the Philippines has been devastated by the recent typhoon. There are at least 2,000 confirmed dead, with projections going as high as 10,000 before this is over. They need food. They need water. They need shelter, clothing – hell, these people need everything.

Yale Stewart, artist and writer of one of my favorite webcomics, JL8, is doing his part for the relief effort with a fundraiser of his own – a special work of art, featuring the JL8 – Bruce, Clark, Diana, Barry, Hal, Jonn, and Kara – bringing supplies to the devastated country. He’s got an eBay auction offering an original sketch of this piece, plus a print, both signed. Please go check it out, and if you can afford it, bid.

If you can’t contribute to the auction, you can certainly contribute by buying the JL8 Relief Wallpaper, where a digital version of the print is available for download for the cost of a donation, starting with a dollar. Every dollar helps, and you’ll get a great piece of artwork for it. Please, go to the site, contribute, and download. You’ll feel great. Honest.

She did her homework while watching reruns of the 1966 Batman series, which led to her longstanding relationship with the Bat, and she’s pretty sure that Barbara Gordon is the real reason she went to library school. She loves superheroes, supervillains, and is secretly married to Hellboy. Or Loki. She can’t remember, but it’s one of them.
