XO Manowar is Aric of Dacia. A fifth century Visigoth barbarian in high-tech alien battle armor. Gilad Anni-Padda is the millennia old soldier known as the Eternal Warrior. He is the Fist and Steel of the Geomancers and military strategist supreme.

No good can from these two meeting in the present day Valiant Universe, especially when they apparently had some problems in the past.

Writer Robert Venditti has shown us how important Aric’s code of honor is, by setting him loose on his alien tormentor’s home planet, and rescuing the surviving humans from their slave pens. Now he returns to earth with his followers and sets his sights on ruling his ancestral homeland of Dacia, which turns out be part of current day Romania and Moldova. Smack dab in the middle of Europe.
So as the old saying goes: fight fire with fire. Or in this case Barbarian with Barbarian. When the governments of these countries need help in steps the Eternal Warrior, the immortal soldier who has fought in every battle since war was invented.
Lee Garbett’s crisply detailed art work, and his larger than life panel arrangements are the perfect tools to display this epic clash in the making.
I guarantee you this issue will be a turning point in the Valiant universe and set the stage for its future. ( kaff.kaff. UNITY kaff.kaff )

About Author

Trained by the Four-Color wizard, Hagan, in all things comic-booky, young Robert took to the streets of New York, dragging his large bespectacled head from comic shop to comic shop, absorbing, learning… knowing…. Until a very delayed pubescent spurt in his early thirties when the tumescent lump of comic knowledge burst forth, rupturing into nonsensical rants about Jack Kirby, superhero related tattoos, questionable cosplay activities, worshiping Jim Starlin as a prophet, and courting the young lady working in his local comic shop. Now he is just mad…roaming the streets late at night while walking his dog, plotting and preparing to unleash more comic-booky goodness on an unsuspecting world. He likes bread. The food. He thinks the band is crap. *Hey wanna freak Bob out? Come follow him on twitter (@dyrewolf1218), he's totally new to it and suspects it may be black magic...* - Chuck the editor monkey
