Are you at Wizard World Philadelphia this weekend? I’m stuck in NYC, unpacking the towers of boxes populating my someday-dining room. The joys of moving, right? Wizard World, however, loves us all and is giving us the gift of free, live-streaming panels with Doctor Who’s David Tennant and Billie Piper (give me a moment while I wipe a tear from my eye) and Arrow’s Oliver Queen himself, Stephen Amell through CONtv, a new digital network “devoted exclusively to the fanspace”, THIS SATURDAY.
This is the first time that Tennant, Piper, and Amell have participated in live-streamed Q&A sessions, and I’m thrilled that this is now a thing that is happening. My kids and I have been watching streaming E3 sessions for a few years now and love the chance to be there as a virtual audience. I’m hopeful that these sessions will be some amazing, that San Diego and NYCC will take note. Even when you’re at a con, you often have to make a Sophie’s Choice between panels you’d like to attend and panels you need to stay on line and wait for. This could be a big game changer all around. Good luck, Wizard World!
The live streams, titled “The Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey David Tennant And Billie Piper” and “Protecting Starling City with Stephen Amell,” are open to all fans who register for free at the links above, so REGISTER NOW, FOLKS. Get the numbers up!
Tennant, who starred as the “Tenth Doctor” on the long-running series “Doctor Who,” will appear at Wizard World Comic Con Philadelphia on Saturday and Sunday, while Piper, who was his love “Rose Tyler,” will attend Saturday only.
