What'cha Watchin' 5/9/15: The Watch All The Things Edition ~ What'cha Reading?

What’cha Watchin’ 5/9/15: The Watch All The Things Edition

It’s a weird week for What’cha Watchin’. As some seasons wind down, others are ramping up, and news has started to come down about which shows the networks have decided to keep or axe (I’m excited for Agent Carter to come back but am still upset about Forever and Constantine). So what do we do? We watch a little of everything, that’s what. Shoutout to everyone on Facebook who shared their view lists for the week!

Constantine is still streaming over at NBC  and as show runners are currently shopping the show to other networks, it never hurts to let them know there’s interest in a much deserved second season. #SaveConstantine, Hellblazers. Get over there and stream your hearts out.

Orphan Black (Saturday 5/9 at 9/8c on BBC America) has already gotten a green light for season four which should make Nancy, Debbie and other members of the Clone Club happy. It’s basically all Greek to me, but I’m interested enough to try to catch up over the summer.

Outlander 2014Outlander (Saturday 5/9 at 9/8c on Starz) The Rat Queens are all watching Outlander, of course. This week we’re headed for some time with Black Jack Randall in prison. If you’ve read the books, you know these are pivotal moments for Jamie, Claire, and Randall. If you haven’t read the books…get some liquor and a security blanket before you watch. You’re going to need it.

Game of Thrones (Sunday 5/10 at 9/8c on HBO) Debbie, Stacey, Rosemary, and I will all be watching in what is possibly the most messed up Mother’s Day present ever (thanks, HBO!). I’m hoping for more Sand Snakes, personally.

Lizzie Borden Chronicles  (Sunday 5/10 at 10/9c on Lifetime) Vince has been talking about this show for a couple of weeks, and since I’ve always had an interest in Lizzie Borden (I’m twisted like that), I want to check it out. Apparently the show takes place after Lizzie’s acquittal of her parents’ murders, but people just keep tempting her to vent her dark side. Christina Ricci stars as Lizzie, and we all know that girl can play a dark side.

Penny Dreadful (Sunday 5/10 at 10/9c on Showtime) Nancy, Frenchie, and Avery got me hooked on this show a couple of weeks ago with the preview of the new season. Even though I hadn’t seen a single episode before that, it was fairly easy to jump in and I loved how it combined characters from several different classic books. The acting is amazing, the show is gorgeous, and I can’t wait to see where they go from here.

shield-skye-inhumansAgents of SHIELD (Tuesday 5/12 at 9/8c on ABC) It’s the season finale, so of course Rosemary, Nancy, and I are tuning in. We learned about Theta Protocol last week and this week seems posed for a full out war with the Inhumans. Mostly I just want to know what’s going to happen with Coulson and Skye after last week, and I haven’t totally given up hope for a Nick Fury cameo. *fingers crossed*

ReidLongSusan_Ripper3-1024x576Ripper Street (Wednesday 5/13 at 10/9c on BBCA) I’ve been a fan of this show since its first season, and although this third season hasn’t quite gripped me yet, I’m too invested to give up on it just yet. It’s history, it’s police drama, it’s Matthew Macfadyen. Those are three very good reasons to watch.

Blacklist (Thursday 5/14 at 9/8c on NBC) It’s season finale week for this show, and Liz is being framed for murder. Rumor has it that she might remember what happened on the night of the fire when she was a kid. I don’t know exactly what that means, but I’m sure Nancy, Frenchie, and Vince do (they’re all watching).
