Alicia Vikander is Lara Croft on the cover of upcoming movie magazine, Total Film.
Earlier today, a new batch of Tomb Raider pictures were unearthed when Total Film magazine revealed that Alicia Vikander’s Lara Croft would be the hero gracing the cover of their upcoming issue. Along with a newsstand and subscription variant, you could check out the subscription cover below:
We’ve also gotten exclusive new images from Total Film that not only showcase Alicia Vikander’s athleticism as she performs her own stunts, but we also get a new look at her co-star, AMC’s Into The Badlands Daniel Wu.
I’m seriously loving all the new shots of Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft. While she looks completely different than Angelina Jolie’s Croft and where director Roar Uthaug’s film is guaranteed to be a different experience than that of Jolie’s two films, Vikander as Croft, in many ways, is very complimentary to Jolie’s and is a wonderful addition to the Tomb Raider film series. For fans of the games, such as myself, it’s very rewarding to have such a fun film series that captures the spirit of Lara Croft from my gaming era and to anticipate the release of a film sure to honor the current Tomb Raider video game series.
With New York Toy Fair coming up in two months, it’ll be exciting to see if any toy companies have the license for Tomb Raider movie action figures. I’m also personally hoping Trends Int. reveals a line of posters and calendars for the upcoming film starring Alicia Vikander. One of the fun aspects of the original two Tomb Raider movies were the action figures toys by Playmates and a line of posters. So, here’s hoping we get a new line of toys and posters.
Are you looking forward to Tomb Raider as much as I am
