We all love our action figures, our statues, our toys, right? Have you ever wondered about the behind-the-scenes process that takes your figure from concept to finished toy? If you have an interest in toy making, or are just a curious sort, you’re going to want to check out this Google Hangout tonight with Tyler James from ComixTribe and the gang from Israel Skelton from Skelton Crew, the group responsible for officially licensed goodness from Hellboy, BPRS, Locke & Key Mouse Guard, Chew, and more.

TONIGHT: Live Presentation on Toy Making with ComixTribe and Skelton Crew!

The presentation will be done via Google+ Hangouts on Air and will stream live on Youtube tonight, Wednesday August 12 at 9pm EDT. If you miss it, no worries: the recording will be available for replay after the live stream.

Israel Skelton will discuss the step-by-step through process of bringing a toy or custom replica to life from concept to manufacturing; the ins and outs of various options for creators, and include some real talk about the costs, challenges, and opportunities of bringing toys and replicas to life. He’ll be using the C is for Cthulhu plush toy, currently in Kickstarter, as his reference point for much of the discussion.
