Check out the first poster and trailer tease for Alicia Vikander’s upcoming “Tomb Raider” reboot!
MGM and Warner Bros. have released the first poster for Tomb Raider, along with a trailer tease of the first theatrical trailer which will be uncovered tomorrow.
While there is some division over the first poster released, I think it’s an exciting debut that fully sets apart this version of Tomb Raider from Simon West and Jan de Bont’s versions with Angelina Jolie. While the Jolie posters favored a front end shot of the iconic video game adventurer, this version favors the back, and it’s not all that different from 2013’s video game reboot. Also, Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft looks much more ripped than any previous version seen in the game and on screen! She looks amazing!
While the poster is exciting enough on its own, you could take a look below at the first trailer tease which pretty much gives us everything we’d want to see in a Tomb Raider movie.

As a fan of the Tomb Raider series, I could not be more excited for this release. From everything I’ve seen and heard so far, this looks like it’s headed in the right direction. Stay tuned tomorrow for the debut of the first theatrical trailer and be sure to let us know what you think in the comments below!
The film follows Lara Croft as she sets out on her first expedition to finish her father’s (Dominic West) research and uncover ancient secrets in order to clear his disgraced name.
MGM and Warner Bros. are co-producing the film, with MGM overseeing production. The studios acquired the rights from GK Films, which had previously purchased the film rights in 2011 from Square Enix Ltd. Graham King is producing.
Tomb Raider stars Alicia Vikander, Walton Goggins, Daniel Wu, and Dominic West. The film is directed by Roar Uthaug, from a script by Geneva Robertson-Dworet. Tomb Raider opens March 16, 2018.
