Tobin and Dewey’s “I Was the Cat” available now on Comixology!

Portland, OR (June 3. 2014) — Many people this morning have reported waking up with the insatiable desire for digital comics about a cat taking over the world. Luckily, Oni Press has teamed with ComiXology to provide just that with Paul Tobin and Benjamin Dewey’s I WAS THE CAT!

When intrepid young journalist Allison Breaking accepts a freelance assignment to interview a shadowy subject, she’s stunned to learn that subject is Burma, a feline with a pretty fascinating life story or nine. Across six digital chapters–being released Tuesdays until July 9—Allison learns about all of the incredible turning points in the world’s history that Burma’s been a part of, but the more she learns, the more she begins to uncover a story even more shocking than a genius-level talking cat!

Chapter 1 of I WAS THE CAT can be purchased exclusively from ComiXology NOW by clicking HERE!

I’m hoping to review of the first issue of I WAS THE CAT soon, since a love of cats and history puts me firmly in the target audience for this book. I’m really looking forward to reading it!

Julie Hegner has been descending the geek rabbit hole since she watched her first episode of Star Trek at age eight. A longtime fan of Trek, Who, X-Files, and the Whedonverse, it was only a matter of time until hanging out with other geek girls and repeatedly watching Tom Hiddleston led her to the awesomeness of comics. She takes a special joy in reading about ladies who kick ass, but in general anything with a good storyline floats her boat. You can tweet @julz91 on Twitter.
