Titan's Twelfth Doctor #5 Preview: Sci-Fi on an Epic Scale ~ What'cha Reading?

Titan’s Twelfth Doctor #5 Preview: Sci-Fi on an Epic Scale

When I reviewed Titan Comic’s Twelfth Doctor Adventures #4 last month, I said that it was the kind of story that the BBC would do if they had an unlimited budget; now the Twelfth Doctor series has a storyline spanning about five centuries in India, making it a period drama and a sci-fi epic, both involving space vampires who have grabbed Clara with the intent of turning her into the next living incarnation of the goddess Kali. Not long after, writer Robbie Morrison read my review and tweeted me that the “budget” for the next issue would be even bigger, and I’ve been waiting on tenterhooks since. Today I got the art preview in my inbox, and based on the three preview pages of action they sent, Robbie has made more than good on his promise. Oh, and as a special treat? This issue has a cover by artist Alice X. Zhang that Whovians might recognize from the Doctor Who World Tour special as the artwork she gave Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman. (If you were at NYCC this fall you might recognize it as well, as she was selling prints of it there–I have this particular one in my office). Enough introduction, let’s get to the fun part: the teaser!
