Smallville Season 11 comes to the DCU in digital? ~ What'cha Reading?

Smallville Season 11 comes to the DCU in digital?

This morning DC’s blog “The Source” announced that Smallville will be returning to fans with Season 11, picking up right where the series left off.
Following in the footsteps of Buffy and Angel DC is taking its popular ten year old series to comics but these’s a bit of a twist. It will be “digital first” starting April 13 2012 with new digital chapters being released weekly. Then May 16th we should see it in print or as DC is calling it, a “print periodical” along with an episode guide to the hit television series.
Creatively it seems like a slam dunk, with Bryan Q. Miller writing and Pere Perez doing the interiors as well as cover artists Gary Frank and Cat Staggs.
So I guess the question is will fans of a show cancelled last May come to DC weekly to read a “chapter” of the new season, if they do will anyone care enough to buy the series in print? No word yet on pricing, digital or print. Hmm guess we’ll just have to wait and see….
