From the first issue, the Brethren were a thorn in Shadowman’s side. But when their earthbound leader Devereaux, captured and beaten by a desperate Jack Boniface, reveals that Master Darque has taken over Deadside and is building an army of twisted souls, it looks like there’s more trouble on the horizon for Shadowman.
After abandoning his Abettors, Dox and Alyssa, and teaming with the voodoo god of the dead, Baron Samedi, to take out Darque, Jack sees yet another friend of his die.. This time at his own hands. How many more will die in Jack’s quest to stop Darque from breaching the Deadside? What is the tower of soul draining thorns true purpose? Where is Dr. Mirage????? Hopefully all this and more will be answered in Shadowman #9, bringing Justin Jordan’s first arc to a startling conclusion.
