The San Diego Comic Con newsfeed is starting, folks. DC has already announced eight new miniseries for 2016, many of which will reunite writers with the characters they made fan favorites. The miniseries will enjoy six-issue runs. We’ve got Marv Wolfman with Raven, Gerry Conway’s giving us a Firestorm run, Mike W. Barr has duties on Katana: Cult of the Cobra, and Len Wein has both Metal Men and Swamp Thing.

We’re also getting three miniseries that offer new perspectives on existing DCU characters. I’m most excited about the news that Amy Chu will be writing a six-issue series, Poison Ivy: Cycle of Life (maybe this will lead into an ongoing for Ivy)! Aaron Lopresti will write a Metamorpho series, and Keith Giffen will give us some Sugar & Spike.
