Rivers of London Comic This July! – from Titan!

Two Doctor Who TV alums, one of which happens also to be a best-selling novelist, are bringing a new series to Titan in July 2015!

Rivers of London Comic This July! - from Titan!

Rivers of London is based on the Best-selling novels, by the same name, written (Doctor Who writer) Ben Aaronovitch. Ben and (former Doctor Who showrunner) Andrew Cartmel are writing the comic series with artist Lee Sullivan (Doctor Who Comics.) This book is a who’s who of Doctor Who creative talent!

The first issue of which takes place between Book 4, Broken Homes and Book 5, Foxglove Summer, and is in continuity with the novel universe. but if you’re unfamiliar with the novels, as I was, let me give you a little plot summary and background. The main character, Peter Grant, is a young officer in the London Metropolitan Police recruited into a special branch that deals with magic and the supernatural.

Peter Grant has come a long way since first entering the special branch of London’s Metropolitan Police. With his hard-earned powers and a flair for the supernatural, it’s his job to investigate those shadowy crimes that involve urban vampires, weird folk in the Underground and, in this case, why cars are suddenly taking on lives of their own and killing innocent people! – Titan press release
