On this week’s episode of CBS’ Supergirl, Kara meets one of this season’s most anticipated of characters – Red Tornado.  The popular character from DC Comics is an android who gains sentience and eventually joins the Justice League.  While it remains unlikely that the episode “Red Faced” will explore that route, it still should be very entertaining to see what happens.  Also, for all of you Peaky Blinders fans, Iddo Goldberg guest stars as T.O. Morrow/Red Tornado.

Character actor Glenn Morshower guest stars as General Sam Lane in “Red Faced” and we also learn that within the universe of Supergirl, we have a woman president.  While this may seem like a minor detail, it may have more significance to the DC Universe as their are tentative plans to crossover both CBS’ Supergirl with The CW’s The Flash.  If CBS commits to nine more episodes of Supergirl which will push the previously commissioned 13 episode season to 22 episodes, we will most likely see Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and S.T.A.R. Labs encounter Melissa Benoist’s kryptonian hero.
