Reading With Pictures Looks To Comics To Unite Nations!

We’re big fans of Reading with Pictures, the organization that promotes learning by bringing comics to the classroom. We’ve bought into their original Kickstarter to make Comics That Make Kids Smarter, we’ve volunteered at their events, we make sure that parents understand that comics are a great way to bring learning to kids in a way that they will enjoy. RWP and their founder, Josh Elder, have done some exciting stuff in the past couple of years, and now, we’ve got another feather to add to their cap – Comics Uniting Nations.

Comics Uniting Nations is a comics anthology being developed in coordination with the United Nations to spotlight creators and publishers from all over the world. RWP wants to Comics Uniting Nations to “use the universal visual language of comics to spread a message of unity and empowerment to hundreds of millions of readers worldwide.” I can’t think of a better goal for comics to achieve, can you?

Check out the Kickstarter Comics Uniting Nations Kickstarter. There are some great pledge levels that won’t break your wallet, and will help you get involved in making the world a better place. With comics. Isn’t that what fandom’s all about?
