Punk Mambo - Out of the Bayou & Hitting Your Comic Store! ~ What'cha Reading?

Punk Mambo – Out of the Bayou & Hitting Your Comic Store!

A punk voodoo high priestess with Sid Vicious as her voodoo spirit companion decides it’s time to leave the bayou, only to be disappointed in what the punk movement has become. THIS is what I miss out on by now reading Shadowman, Valiant? Please forgive me, and SIGN ME UP for Punk Mambo #0, the latest offering from Valiant (home of Quantum and Woody!).

Punk Mambo - Out of the Bayou & Hitting Your Comic Store!

Written by Peter Milligan (Hellblazer, people! Hellblazer!) and drawn by Armor Hunters’ Robert Gill, Punk Mambo gives us the background on Shadowman’s black magic dilettante and takes her out of the swamps and sends her back home to some good, old-fashioned anarchy in the UK. The book is a one-shot that I’m hoping does SO well, it gets, at the very least, a limited series run. I’ve got some catching up to do, after all.

PUNK MAMBO #0 hits stores November 19th, with covers by Russell Dauterman (Thor), Rian Hughes (Batman: Black and White), and Kalman Andrasofszky (X-23). Mark the calendar, folks, this one looks like a must-have! Check out some of the art and covers below.
