If Rucka writes it, I’m in.
That being said, Veil looks interesting no matter who wrote it. It’s got a bit of a horror tinge to it but even in the preview pages I felt sympathy for this girl. She seems so alone, even if she’s just the slightest bit deadly. Not to mention this is Greg Rucka, if it’s men who end up dead when they try to hurt her, you can be sure there’s more to the story than just a plain old horror plot.
I’m loving Toni Fejzula art. It’s very rich in its coloring and shadows and just the slightest bit twisted…
…but don’t take my word for it. See for yourself:
A beautiful girl wakes up in an abandoned subway station with no memory of how she got there. When men try to hurt her . . . they wind up dead. Where did she come from? And what is she capable of?
