Ninjago’s “Stone Cold” graphic novel is on bookshelves right now!

I have children, therefore I bear Lego scars. Up until now, the only Lego comics that I’d read are the comic strips that run in the Lego magazine my son gets in the mail, so getting a peek at a few panels for this Ninjago book was a treat.

In this seventh volume in the Ninjago graphic novel series, masters of Spinjitzu Jay, Cole, Zane and Kai face the evil Stone Warriors, but become frustrated at their inability to defeat them. Sensei Wu may be able to help them to victory, but he has to reveal secrets of his past adventures first.

The book is fun, especially for anyone who’s already familiar with the Lego Ninjago toy line and TV series. There are battles and lessons about teamwork and friendship that kids will enjoy and appreciate. It’s all-ages fun that you can enjoy with your kids – what’s better than that, right?

The Ninjago series has wrapped and the final toy wave is hitting shelves soon, so the graphic novels are going to be the only place to continue following the adventures of the Ninjago characters. The book hit shelves today, so enjoy the nice long weekend by picking up a copy and relaxing with your favorite kid. Heck, act it out with some of your Lego sets – you know there’s a Kai embedded in your foot somewhere.

In the meantime, enjoy some of the artwork:

About Author

Rosemary Kiladitis is a children’s librarian, a mom, and a proud fangirl/nerdgirl. She did her homework while watching reruns of the 1966 Batman series, which led to her longstanding relationship with the Bat, and she’s pretty sure that Barbara Gordon is the real reason she went to library school. She loves superheroes, supervillains, and is secretly married to Hellboy. Or Loki. She can’t remember, but it’s one of them. Roe blogs about children’s and teen books at http://roespot.blogspot.com, and you can read her 140 character ramblings on twitter @RoeSolo.
