News on the Half Shell! New TMNT Villain Named!

New TMNT Villain Named!

Cowabunga dudes and dudettes!  I hope everyone’s holiday was totally radical!  As you all know, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of  the Shadows is coming out June 3, 2016 and the trailer has already featured classic characters like Casey Jones (Stephen Amell), Rocksteady (WWE superstar Sheamus), Bebop (Gary A. Williams).  and even Baxter Stockman (Tyler Perry).  As reported first by Rolling Stone, the character list just got longer.

“They start with Ninja Turtles animation.  Pablo Helman, a visual-effects supervisor who worked on the Star Wars prequels, appears onscreen and shows Bay the latest version of Krang, a new-to-the-movies villain who is, essentially, a disembodied brain inside a giant robot.  ‘So we’ve eliminated the tentacles,’ Helman explains. ‘Is it too monster-ish?’

‘He could have some tentacles,’ says Bay.  ‘I just don’t want them coming out of the side.  He looks like a stupid octopus.”

This is all we know so far about Krang but I’m sure more will released as production goes along.  This movie is making me feel like a kid again with the addition of Krang and other aforementioned characters.  I’m eager to hear what direction they go in with Krang in terms of looks, voice actor and storyline.  In the meantime, you can watch the newest trailer below and stay tuned for more Turtle news and updates.

That looks like a lot of fun. I hadn’t watched the trailer until I read the Krang announcement. The sky opening up in the trailer? Technodrome maybe? It’s going to be a cool movie.
