“Wonder Woman” starring Gal Gadot has found its director. Michelle MacLaren has officially been announced as director of the 2017 film. MacLaren will be making her film debut after having directed episodes of “Breaking Bad”, “Game of Thrones”, and “The Walking Dead.” This is a major step in developing a Wonder Woman film as this DC Comics character has long been in production Hades. The last director to be attached was Joss Whedon long before 2013’s “Man of Steel” which has served as the catalyst to the DC Cinematic Universe.
Gal Gadot will first appear as Wonder Woman in March 2016’s much anticipated “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.” The film, directed by Zack Snyder and produced by Deborah Snyder and Charles Roven, will also serve as the producers on Michelle MacLaren’s “Wonder Woman” film.
This is a very exciting time for not only DCCU fans, but also for those that have longed for a proper Wonder Woman feature film.
