Who’s free Tuesday night at 7 pm in New York City? You all are? Did you want to meet ‘Shield’ creators Adam Christopher and Chuck Wendig?
You can have An Evening with Tor Books and Dark Circle Comics featuring Adam Christopher and Chuck Wendig of current DCC’s The Shield fame. It all starts at 7 pm at the KGB Bar/Red Room and it’s a night you will not want to miss!
Adam Christopher’s latest novel Made To Kill releases Tuesday, November 3rd and looks to blend the best elements of noir, science-fiction, and pulp into a story that has already been selected as an Indie Next Pick for the month of December. The interesting story behind Made To Kill is of how it started as a joke during The Pop Quiz at the End of the Universe interview with Adam Christopher.
Raymond Chandler’s secret science fiction epic. He famously hated science fiction and, to prove his point that it was nonsense (“They pay brisk money for this crap?”), he wrote a little bit of flash SF in a letter to his agent in 1953.
We love Raymond Chandler, especially editor in chief, Chuck Suffel. The idea of discovering a lost Raymond Chandler science-fiction story? “It would be brilliant” Christopher said and we’d agree with.
The official book launch for Adam Christopher’s Made To Kill is Tuesday night on November 3rd and will feature Christopher’s Dark Circle Comics The Shield partner, Chuck Wendig. The dark and stormy drink special is $10 at the New York City speakeasy setting and seems like the perfect place for a night with two great creators, robots, and “a case of a missing celebrity.”
