Locke & Key – Some Good News, Some Bad News

So bad news first. Looks like the Locke & Key movie is not going to happen. An interview Joe Hill gave Broke Horror Fan gives us this,

Universal announced a trilogy of movies at Comic-Con 2014, but not much as been heard about it since. Hill informed me that the adaptation is unfortunately no longer happening, but there’s still hope for Locke & Key on television.

As you may recall, a pilot based on the comic was created for Fox back in 2011, but the network ultimately passed on the series. Hill explained that IDW Publishing is now producing its own shows, and it’s possible Locke & Key will make its way to the small screen through that venture.

So Universal has passed on it but maybe a little fan pressure might sway IDW? Head over to Broke Horror Fan for more of the interview.
