TV Insider exclusively revealed the latest news on Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s latest DC Animated Universe movie – Justice League vs. Teen Titans. The latest animated project, being a featured teaser on the upcoming Batman: Bad Blood, is set for release this spring. The Teen Titans have become a popular group of heroes in the DC Comics universe and after two hit cartoon series, they are finally making their debut within the DC Animated Universe. But a Teen Titans animated movie isn’t the only selling point; Justice League vs. Teen Titans also features an amazing voice cast featuring two MARVELous actors – Jon Bernthal and Rosario Dawson!
Jon Bernthal, of The Walking Dead and soon to be seen as The Punisher in Daredevil season 2, will voice Trigon, a ruthless demon who shares a long comic book history with the Teen Titans. That includes his daughter, team member Raven, who will be played by Taissa Farmiga, best known for her roles in the American Horror Story franchise.
Justice Legaue vs. Teen Titans also features Jake T. Austin (The Fosters) as Blue Beetle, Brandon Soo Hoo (From Dusk Til Dawn: The Series) as Beast Boy, and Kari Wahlgren (Phineas and Ferb) as Starfire. The line-up also includes Shemar Moore as Cyborg, Sean Maher as Nightwing and Stuart Allan as Robin. Moore, Maher, and Allan have all previously voiced these characters in past animated films. Returning Justice League voice actors are Jason O’Mara as Batman, Jerry O’Connell as Superman, Rosario Dawson as Wonder Woman and Christopher Gorham as the Flash.
Justice League vs. Teen Titans sends Robin to work with the Titans after his volatile behavior botches a Justice League mission. The young team then must really step up to face Trigon after he possesses the League and threatens to conquer the world.
The story is by Bryan Q. Miller, whose TV credits include Smallville and Defiance. He wrote the script with animation “maestro” Alan Burnett. Phil Bourassa is the character designer and Sam Register is executive producer. Expect Justice Legaue vs. Teen Titans out on DVD, Blu-ray, and Digital HD this spring. Batman: Bad Blood will be available in Digital HD on Tuesday, January 19, and on Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday, February 2.
