Howdy partners! Legends of Tomorrow executive producer Marc Gugenheim has confirmed the appearance of the disfigured anti-hero in the eleventh episode of the new series. “Ever since we decided that Legends would involve time travel, we were eager to do a story set in the Old West.” He added, “But if you’re going to do a story set in the DC Universe version of the Old West, you simply must include Jonah Hex in it. We’re thrilled about bringing another well-known, beloved DC character to television.”
Jonah Hex’s story is that he was burned by a Native American chief’s tomahawk after it is discovered he cheated during a fight. This is not Jonah’s first venture into the entertainment world. Hex has been featured in many DCU animated films and was the subject of a 2010 Warner Bros. movie starring Josh Brolin, Megan Fox and John Malkovich. The movie had a less-than-stellar run in the theaters. As of right now, there is no information regarding who will be portraying him on the small screen.
Legends of Tomorrow is shaping up to be an excellent show and a prime-time television sensation. The trailers are exciting to watch and hearing news like this and Jewel Staite‘s guest spot make it worth waiting for.
Legends of Tomorrow premieres Thursday January 21 at 8pm on The CW. Check your local listings.
