ICYMI – In Case You Missed It…
Yesterday, What’cha Reading presented you with a look at the new costume actor Grant Gustin will wear during the sophomore year of The Flash. Today, in case you missed it, we have your first look (or second) at Stephen Amell’s Arrow. See below.
The new suit, designed by Maya Mani, is the creation of the same costumer behind S2 Flash, Black Canary, Arsenel, Speedy, and A.T.O.M. “Once the design was finished, we shared it with Stephen and Stephen had a really great suggestion,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim tells E! News. “He’s like, ‘I’m probably going to regret saying this when the winter comes, but what about making it sleeveless like the comics?’ And I’ll be honest, I was skeptical. I wasn’t sure. It looks good in the comics, but I wasn’t sure how it was going to look on Stephen. But man, it’s amazing!” Executive producer Wendi Mericle adds, “She adapted it. It isn’t true to the comics in the full execution, but it’s an homage and it’s very much of our world. We didn’t want it to look that different and we didn’t want it to be light green….we wanted it to be true to the Arrow we created.”
The new costumes for both shows look as if they’re keeping closer with the comic books. The new suit for Stephen Amell’s Arrow looks significantly closer to DC’s The New 52. Also, the season four premiere is reportedly titled “Green Arrow.”
Arrow returns Wednesday, October 7th at 8 PM ET on The CW. Check your local listings.
