The Glorkian Warrior is back in Mustache of Destiny! ~ What'cha Reading?

The Glorkian Warrior is back in Mustache of Destiny!

The hilarious, all-ages saga of the hapless Glorkian Warrior is back in March 2016 with The Glorkian Warrior and the Mustache of Destiny! Glorkian Warrior is back, the Backpack is back, even Gonk is back for this latest gigglefest of hirsute proportions!

The Glorkian Warrior is back in Mustache of Destiny!

In this latest installment, the Glorkian Warrior is trying to enjoy a mission with his coffee, but Gonk and a group of his young friends want to join in! The Glorkian Warrior really doesn’t want a bunch of kids tagging along on his mission, especially when he’s trying to train his coffee (don’t ask, just go with it) – and besides, what can a bunch of kids do, right?

What else can I say about the Glorkian Warrior series that I haven’t already? It’s fun, it’s perfect for young kids, and a great introduction to comics and sequential storytelling. It’s like your favorite nonsense poem in story form. The cartoony art is appealing to young readers, and the super bright colors bring the eye right to its location on any shelf. I can’t keep the Glorkian Warrior books on my shelves at my library, and that’s a heck of an endorsement for a librarian whose kids’ previous graphic novel knowledge amounted to, “Where’s Spider-Man?”

Bottom Line: First Second knows how to find graphic novels that kids love. James Kochalka knows how to create graphic novels that kids love. Get in on this love affair now.
