Delroy Lindo is Marvel's Most Wanted ~ What'cha Reading?

Delroy Lindo is Marvel’s Most Wanted

Hello true believers!  At the beginning of the year, it was announced that ABC and Marvel have decided to move ahead with the previously shelved Marvel’s Most Wanted, a spin-off of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. bringing back Adrianne Palicki as Bobbi “Mockingbird” Morse and Nick Blood as Lance Hunter.  It was just announced that a new but familiar character has been cast for the pilot episode.  Delroy Lindo of Malcolm X, Get Shorty and Chicago Code fame has been cast as 1930s adventurer and playboy Dominic Fortune.

Dominic Fortune made his first appearance in 1975’s “Marvel Preview #2” in a story drawn and written by Howard Chaykin.  Executive Producer/Head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb had this to say about the character and Delroy, “Dominic Fortune carries with him a cunning and charm but also a dangerous edge that only Delroy could bring to life.  We’re thrilled to have him join the show.”  Marvel’s Most Wanted was created and written by Jeffrey Bell and Paul Zbyszewski who will also serve as Executive Producers along side Jeph Loeb.  I can’t say much yet about Marvel’s Most Wanted and my expectations for it other than Marvel and ABC are making a great team so I think it will be in good hands.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns Tuesday, March 8 at 9pm on ABC.  Check your local listings.
