We didn’t give the last issue a great write-up, Ed’s main problem being a lack of originality in the concept. Which is funny since that’s what everyone seems to like about the book, the concept is considered original. Check Ed’s article for more on the why he felt it wasn’t all that. I myself read it and though it was ok, the dialogue didn’t feel that together for me, some of it honestly left me scratching my head. But like every review this is just our opinion, let’s take a look at some pages from issue #2 shall we?
As we can see Verity’s powers have kicked in and not in a very appealing way. The art looks good, I’m still not sold on the dialogue all the redacting is kind of annoying. All in all I think it’s an interesting book that could be worth the read. I would have enjoyed a full issue to see what’s up with Weasel and Monty. Let’s call it a weak 3 out of 5. Is this book on your pull list? What did you think of the comic book media coverage so far? Has it swayed your opinion one way or the other?
