There is no denying that Deadpool is one of the most recognizable and popular of comic book characters. Despite fans disappointment with Deadpool’s inclusion in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, it was pretty unanimous that everyone loved Ryan Reynolds’ performance as Wade Wilson. Combining the right amount of wit and physicality, Reynolds seemed perfectly suited for the role. Fast forward to today and we are finally getting a Rated R Deadpool movie starring Reynolds and directed by Tim Miller with a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
The trailer leaked during SDCC, but Reynolds promised fans that they wouldn’t have much longer to wait to see the actual product. Reported today by TBS, Ryan Reynolds will be appearing on Conan this Tuesday, August 4th to premiere the first trailer for the February 12, 2016 movie. From Team CoCo:
Ryan Reynolds debuts the new redband trailer for “Deadpool.” We’re filling up his dressing room with chimichangas in anticipation.
There will be two versions of the Deadpool trailer; one a greenband version which will come attached to prints of August 7th’s Fantastic Four and another redband one to be released online.
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
Ryan Reynolds stars as the title character alongside T.J. Miller as Weasel, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Morena Baccarin as Copycat and Ed Skrein as Ajax. The film will also feature the mutant Colossus, though Daniel Cudmore has confirmed he will not appear as the character he played within previous X-Men movies.
I am certain this is one trailer that many fans will be excitedly talking about next week so you do not want to miss it. Here are the details, once more, for your records:
