While fans have been uncertain as to whether or not they’d be getting a Wonder Woman statue, it seemed pretty obvious that this was in the works after San Diego Comic Con showcased an upcoming Wonder Woman doll and action figures. Excitingly though, news of this statue was revealed during Toy Fair 2015 earlier this year, but we were sworn to secrecy.
Wonder Woman is now the fourth statue in the line of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. She will be released in March 2016, alongside the Armored Batman statue with a suggested retail price of $150.
The 13-inch resin statue, by James Marsano, features the updated costume — with new-look tiara, armor styling, sword, shield, bullet-deflecting bracelets, and her trademark golden lariat – Yahoo Movies.
It’s interesting to see a statue of Wonder Woman as it further suggests the importance of her role within the framework of the Man of Steel follow-up/sequel. It’s also another great look at the colors of her costume. Previously many fans were upset as they felt Wonder Woman’s costume was muted when the first image released summer of 2014. The statue by DC Collectibles is further evidence that her color remains a vibrant red, blue, and gold.
