Crimson Rhen of the True North – A Shadowbinders Kickstarter You Should Back!

I’ve become a huge fan of the webcomic, Shadowbinders, by Thom and Kambrea Pratt, and will be writing about it very shortly. Trust me when I tell you this is great stuff – it’s all-ages, but it’s not a kiddie comic. It’s steampunk, it’s adventure, it’s just good FUN. Writer Kambrea Pratt has said she’s influenced by the great adventure romps of the ’80s, from Raiders of the Lost Ark to The Goonies, and that’s pretty much the best way to put it. Plus, it’s a webcomic that updates at least twice a week, AND has a podcast, too. FOR FREE, people.

So when I got word from artist Thom Pratt that they were gearing up for a Kickstarter for their new series, Crimson Rhen of the True North (starring Crimson Rhen from Shadowbinders), I was PSYCHED. I love the character and can’t wait to learn more about him. The Kickstarter launched today – but don’t take it from me, let’s see what Rhen’s got to say.

Crimson Rhen of the True North Part 1 is the first of a planned 2-book series. The campaign will cover production costs, and the product will be digitally delivered, 12 pages at a time, over the course of 12 months. We’re talking 144 pages of original content here!

What else will you get for contributing? Glad you asked.

Please, PLEASE, do yourself a favor and hit the Kickstarter site. There’s an exclusive comic up, in addition to a great little video featuring Rhen, plus Thom and Kam. There are some great backer prizes to be had, so check it out!
