20141018_125232The Crazy 8 Cartoon Festival is a great idea, taking up the blocks from 5th to 6th avenues is a collection of stores, restaurants, and events all focused on art. Not just any art, cartoon and comic art! With classic cartoons running in a host of different restaurant and one even boasting a tattoo artist this is definitely a cool way to spend a Saturday.
It’s going today from 10 am till midnight and it’s definitely not too late to drop by. Between 3 pm and 7 pm three different locations are having mini conventions…
2:30 – 3:30 The ASIFA East Animation Showcase at “The Lodge” 35 W 8th st.

3 pm -6 pm Legends of Comic and Cartoon Art Show The Greenwich Project 47 W 8th Street

3:30 – 6 pm The Next Big Thing Comic Art Show at The Marlton Hotel 5 8th street
Featuring Sean Von Gorman, Amy Chu, J.M. Desantis, Joe Mulvey and more! (Plus a complimentary Whistle Pig Punch? )

4 pm – 5:30 pm The Liberties School Art Show is at Lomography 4 With street and they have a DJ?

I love this city! Come hang out and check out the stuff I listed and a bunch of other stuff I didn’t get to!
