Last year ReedPop decided to have a consumer based book show sharing the space with publishing’s industry only event BookExpo for a day. It appears they were pleased with its success as it is now a two-day stand alone show. With BookExpo running the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and BookCon taking over both days of the last weekend of the month. They are already lining up a great deal of talent for the event and it looks like it could be a lot of fun.

Second Chapter of the Unique Event Brings Best-Selling Authors and Hollywood Heavyweights Including Taye Diggs, Meg Cabot and more to the Javits Center on May 30-31
NORWALK, CT – December 4, 2014 – ReedPOP, the world’s largest producer of pop culture events, is proud to announce that tickets for the second inaugural and newly expanded BookCon are now available. Due to the overwhelming response from fans and the industry, the one-of-a-kind interactive consumer experience will expand to two days. Headlined again by best-selling authors and the world’s hottest Hollywood talent, BookCon will bring books to life through a series of panels, screenings, author Q&As, quiz shows and more.
BookCon will feature a discussion with the multi-talented Taye Diggs and illustrator Shane W. Evans on their forthcoming book Mixed Me. Additional events will feature mega-sellers Leigh Bardugo (The Grisha Trilogy), Meg Cabot (The Princess Diaries) and Marissa Meyer (The Lunar Chronicles). Macmillan’s Fierce Reads program will kick-off its semi-annual group author tour at BookCon with appearances by Courtney Alameda, Anna Banks, Emmy Laybourne and Jennifer Mathieu. The panel will be moderated by Anthony Breznican ofEntertainment Weekly. BookCon will continue to add and announce guests and content up until the show.

Additionally, John Green took the stage for an insightful look at The Fault in Our Stars film.
