Boldly Go Where No Gund Has Gone Before! Toy Fair 2016 ~ What'cha Reading?

Boldly Go Where No Gund Has Gone Before! Toy Fair 2016

We always find stuff we weren’t expecting at Toy Fair. And we’re usually pleasantly surprised by what we find. Case in point, Gund. Everyone knows the cuddly little stuffed animals. Gund has also acquired some really interesting licenses.

Star Trek: The Original Series is coming from Gund and it’s out of this world adorable (yes, I did just type that.) Our beloved bridge crew (minus Sulu, Chekov, and Rand) are on their way to a toy aisle near you. And they took some pains to get it right. They choose animals that they felt represented the characters personalities well. The cat’s ears are perfectly Mr. Spock, and Kirk as a lion is spot on. I love the way the tunics look as well.

We’re going to get 12 inch (approx.) cuddly versions Kirk, Spock, Uhura, McCoy, and Scott in all their plush glory.

Kitty-Spock – I get the feeling if there was one more season of Big Bang Theory we’d see Spock prominently displayed up against Sheldon’s pillow.

At $21.99 a piece they are the perfect little plush to bring home to your favorite Trekkie, Trekker, whatever. Coming to stores in late Spring to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the original series. So many great things are coming our way this year, not just in the Sci-fi category. Stick around What’cha Reading to see the DC Superhero line Gund is expanding as well.

I know my pictures are amazing but just in case you’d like a better look here are the promo images sent over by Gund at our request…
