Who better to bring you the tale of Bloodshot’s origin then MIND MGMT’s own Matt Kindt. Kindt’s forte’ of super-spydom has won him numerous award nominations and his take on Martian Manhunter in the Justice League backup stories shows the seriousness he can inject into a superhero character, making them relevant and refreshing while still sticking to the spirit of the character.
Bloodshot’s origin has been a driving force behind his actions from his first issue. A soldier with too many memories of different, but slightly similar past lives, this nanite-enhanced weapon of mass destruction has broken free from the government agency that was controlling him, and out to find which memory is the true one. Who was the man who they turn turned into a super soldier? or was it a super soldier they turned into a man…duhn ..duhn..duhnnnnnnn
Joining Kindt on this sure to be hit is comics veteran Chris Cross, former Milestone mainstay, Peter David’s collaborator on Marvel’s Captain Marvel series from the 90’s and all around great artist. Cross has that crisp clean classic comic style, that jumps off the page at you and has a sense of panel arrangements that tell a great story visually. Doubt me???? Look below :
And to top it all off, an amazing Dave Bullock cover as the regular cover:
( hmm something about this cover looks famil-Rai? it is very Rai-miniscient of something? if only I could put Rai finger on it? )
Also a Pullbox Variant by Matt Kindt himself:
And a gorgeous wrap around Variant by the ever talented Emanuella Lupacchino
Keep on Enjoying the Summer of Valiant Folks!
