As if Free Comic Book Day weren’t enough reason to do the dance of joy, here’s even more reason to start counting days (150, if you were curious): Amanda Conner, of Harley Quinn/Red Sonja/Painkiller Jane/so much amazing comic book work fame, is designing this year’s t-shirt!

Look, one for boys, one for girls. Awesome, no?

And of course, there’s the poster, that I will need, to hang in my living room. For posterity.

fcbd posterAccording to Amanda, comic book readers are the inspiration for her design. “I remembered what many of us comic book readers actually are… frustrated super-heroes…I thought about making a piece of art that would resemble a super-hero insignia. Hopefully when you see it from a distance, that’s what it looks like.” I have been an Amanda Conner fan for years, so this is huge news for me. I’ll take one of everything, please.

To find out more, check out the Free Comic Book Day site, or sit tight and  wait for the January issue of the Previews catalog, due out December 24th.
