This week Empire magazine releases their Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice cover. While it’s published in the UK first, with a US release date a week or two later, there is no doubt many fans will be eagerly awaiting this magazine. The cover story features an exclusive look at the much anticipated follow up to 2013’s Man of Steel. What should be of particular interest is that this issue of Empire magazine features two covers. One with Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill), the reverse side features Bruce Wayne and our first look at Clark Kent. As a Batman v. Superman fan, I cannot wait to get my hands on this.
“There is just this gravitas to Batman,” director/producer/franchise oversees Zack Snyder stresses in our cover feature. “He is operatic.” And Superman? ” In this movie, everyone has split into different directions as to how they feel about this alien,” explains Henry Cavill. “Some people love him, some hate him. Other people fear him. Is he a tyrant?”
Here are a few additional photos that have been released:
We have another peek at Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg). There was a rumor stating that LexCorp would be presented as a company not unlike Apple and Google. There is an undeniable relatability to said companies and it should be interesting to see how Luthor develops over the course of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Please take note of his shirt. Could that be a possible representation of his own psyche?
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice releases March 25, 2016!
