Asbury Park Comic Con Announces Herb Trimpe, Brian O’Halloran and more!

So in a couple of months, March 30th, down on the Jersey Shore we’ve got the third Asbury Park Comic Con! This time instead of hanging in the bowling alley the convention takes place at the Asbury Park Convention Hall!

Does a larger venue equal bigger guest? Well this year Herb Trimpe, co-creator of Wolverine, penciller on The Incredible Hulk, The Defenders, Iron Man, Ka-Zar, Transformers, Fantastic Four, Daredevil, Outlaw Kid, Shogun Warrior, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and many more will be hanging at APCC

And now that APCC is in the Convention Hall they can have panels, a costume contest, and more!

brianSpeaking of a costume contest this year the judges will be Ming Chen, Mike Zapcic, and Rob Bruce (from AMC’s Comic Book Men) and they’ll be joined by none other than Brian O’Halloran (Star of the cult favorite Clerks)!

This will be my third trip to Asbury Park Comic Con, I can’t think of a more fun, intimate, cool convention. The guests are always varied and because this isn’t NYCC or San Diego they’re much more approachable. Here’s some of the guests in store this year..

Al Jaffee, Joe Sinnott, Herb Trimpe, JG Jones, John Holmstrom, Evan Dorkin, Sarah Dyer, Allen Bellman, Jamal Igle, Mark Morales, Danny Fingeroth, R. Sikoryak, Danny Hellman, Dean Haspiel, Jim Salicrup, Jay Lynch, Stephanie Buscema, Box Brown, Josh Bayer, Mark A. Robinson, Steve Mannion, Craig Yoe, Ulises Farinas, Cliff Galbraith, Sean Pryor, Rob Bruce, Bob Camp, Dave Ryan, Chris Irving, Seth Kushner, Jon B. Cooke, Eric Grissom, Phil Sloan….

Wait did that list include Bob Camp? No way!
