Today sees the release of two new Archie titles from Archie Comics – Archie 1000 Page Comics Gala and Jughead and Archie Comics Annual #17.  While they won’t reveal the #LipstickIncident and aren’t set in the rebooted Riverdale universe by Mark Waid, we still recommend picking them up if you enjoy comic books and Archie, just like us.

Christmas is coming to Riverdale! Archie and Jughead decide to score points with their principal, Mr. Weatherbee, by generously donating a Christmas tree to Riverdale High. But when the boys run into some issues with transporting the gigantic fur, their generous idea may turn into more trouble than it’s worth! Find out if they can get on Mr. Weatherbee’s good side and spread some Christmas cheer—or if they’ll be spending their holidays in detention in “Trees are the Times,” the hilarious holiday brand new story that starts off this Comics Annual!

There’s nothing more fun and refreshing than classic Archie stories, especially ones featuring the art by Dan Parent.  Especially with comic books taking such a dark turn, it’s nice to still see light-hearted stories find a place at wherever comic books are sold.
