Alamo Drafthouse, the Austin-based cinema chain known for its strict “no talking, no texting” policy is opening their flagship New York theater in Downtown Brooklyn in Summer 2016!
The brand new seven screen theater, located at 445 Gold Street – at the intersection of Fulton and Flatbush Avenues, is in its final phase of construction.
Alamo Drafthouse will feature its signature series Terror Tuesday, Video Vortex and Girlie Night, but promises to reflect the tastes of the Brooklyn movie-goer as well. A “movie-lover’s paradise” the theater will feature all forms of cinema, “As a local and avid moviegoer myself, I know New Yorkers are equally excited for the latest from Pixar as they are the first from Michael Haneke,” says Brooklyn Creative Manager Cristina Cacioppo. “This city has the most adventurous audiences of anywhere in the world and our screens will be reflective of that.”
As in all their locations Alamo Drafthouse Downtown Brooklyn will have in-theater dining and a theater bar with local beers and cocktails.
