Action Lab Announces New imprint – Danger Zone!

Action Lab has announced that Jason Martin of Super Real Graphics (Gnome, Zombie Tramp) is joining the Action Lab team! Not only is he joining but he is heading up their new mature readers line of comics!

The new “Danger Zone” imprint will feature some great books:

Double Jumpers! A personal favorite of mine, as shown by these reviews!

Preview – Double Jumpers #1 – Here it comes! May 30th at a Comic Shop near you!

Review! Double Jumpers #2 from Action Lab Comics!

Another release that is also one of my favorites is “The Trip”. When I read it the first time it was titled “Sensory Distortion” and I supported the kickstarter that got it printed way back in April ’12. I love that Action Lab picked this up, it’s a great, sick, twisted romp and all you horror fans will get a kick out of it. Check out the art.

Let’s hope the new imprint can get these great titles the exposure they deserve!

We also have what Action Lab promises to be “the mind-bending genre-blending exploits” of a boy and his talking kitten in Ehmm Theory.

ACTION_LAB_DANGERZONE_teaser_1*Look at that cover again… What is that cute little kitten doing in all that blood?!?!

And Tony Fleecs and Tone Rodriguez’s poetry-powered American Goth Chick,

There are more titles in store as well, including the aforementioned Super Real Graphics title Zombie Tramp,

which looks, um, interesting? Hey they did say this was the mature reader imprint right?

Other projects include; Dave Dwonch and Rob Ruddell’s time-hopping rogue nuke mythology Ghost Town, Jason Martin’s own Regan-era zombie lovefest Night of the 80’s Undead, and also from SR Graphics, Grant Gould’s Norse mythology by-way-of Tolkien The Wolves of Odin saga.

This looks to be a great melding of two cutting edge companies, with new projects on the way and much-needed re-issues of some others. I know I’m on-board and looking forward to what they’ll be showing us in the new year, stick around I’ll bring you all the release info and previews as they come down the pike!
