Bits and Pieces from Boston Comic Con – Ben Templesmith’s Poe

So, while I’m writing up my experiences from this past weekends convention I thought I’d take a moment to highlight some of the purchases I made.

Every convention I’ve attended for the last 3 years I’ve sought out and pestered Ben Templesmith. The guy’s a genius, quite mad but definitely a genius. Case in point, this year I bought this print, sans the giant “T” copyright image and including a signature from the man himself.

This is actually “borrowed” from Mr. Templesmith’s flickr account and I have to say the print I have has much deeper colors, when I’ve hung the one I purchased I’ll post of picture of it in it’s natural environment.

Edgar Allen Poe is one of his Saints of the Squid. Hunter S. Thompson is a member as well, can’t wait to see that one! Who do you think would make a good Squid Saint? Mark Twain probably isn’t dark enough but I think he was crazy and talented enough. Looks like I’ll have to annoy Mr. Templesmith with some questions on Saintly qualifications.
